B.A.. English, University of South Dakota
M.A. (in progress), Theology, Augustine Institute
Ms. Josie Clarey was born and raised in and around Sioux Falls, South Dakota, the youngest of eight children. She was home-schooled through middle school before attending a rural public high school outside of Sioux Falls. Graduating from the University of South Dakota, where she majored in English and minored in Journalism and Spanish, she taught in South Dakota before moving to Omaha.
Raised in a loving, Catholic home and desiring further work and study in the Church, Josie moved to Omaha to pursue work in a parish, Saint James Catholic Church. There she has served as the Liturgy Coordinator for both the parish and the school for the past three years and will be taking on New Evangelization efforts this summer. In addition to working in the parish, she is currently pursuing a Masters of Art in Theology from the Augustine Institute in Denver, Colorado.
Josie is thrilled to be a part of the Chesterton Academy this fall where she will be teaching Classics and integrating weekly spiritual formation into the school community.
